You may wonder, “Why should I write a list of goals on a website, when I could just write them on a piece of paper?”   The reason you should write them on a website is so that other people can read your goals and you can communicate to others about them, while if you wrote it on a piece a paper you most likely won’t have anyone see it.  You’re also probably thinking, “Why 43?” There’s probably something logical to it, but the answer is probably “Why not?”  43things.com is a very unique website and it is a great way to communicate your ideas, make new friends, organize yourself, and have fun all at the same time.  43things.com is a place where you write down your goals, and find out what you want to do with your life.  It is an inspiring website that really gets you thinking.  Asking you questions such as, “what do you want to do with your life?” and “got an idea for a new goal?”  They are not easy questions to answer, and you might not know what you want to do with your life, so 43things.com brings people together and lists their goals.  You can browse 43 Things to find out what other people want to do, and then you get ideas.  When you find a goal that you what to achieve click the “I want to do this” button and it is immediately put on you’re list of goals.  Once you achieve a goal or find a goal that you have already accomplished you can click the “I’ve done this” button and write about how you achieved it.  Other people get to cheer on your goals and read what you have written about them.  Writing down your progress on a goal can help someone else learn about something you both want to do.  This website brings people together and makes them think about what they want to do with their lives, while at the same time it keeps people organized, learning new things about others and about themselves.

Communication is a learned skill. Most people have the natural physical ability to talk, but we must learn to speak well and communicate successfully. Speaking, listening, and our skill to understand verbal and nonverbal meanings are skills we develop in various ways. We learn basic communication skills by observing other people and modeling our behaviors based on what we see. We also are taught some communication skills directly through education, and by practicing those skills and having them assessed. There are many forms of communication including: telephones, talking in person, computers (msn, myspace, livejournal, etc.), sign language, media, and the list go on and on. Without communication we wouldn’t be around today.  It is a very important part of our existence, and we don’t even really think about it.
